Built for the moments between visits

Helping families see the bigger picture behind a child's symptoms.

Children's symptoms can be hard to remember, explain, and understand — especially when they happen again and again between appointments.

Little Lookout helps families track symptoms through quick, simple check-ins — and turns them into a clearer picture to share with their pediatrician.

The problem

Because health doesn't only happen during appointments.

Many children's symptoms:

  • Come and go
  • Are hard to describe
  • Are hard to remember
  • Change from day to day
  • Feel different to children
  • Happen outside the doctor's office

Three weeks ago is hard to remember. Little Lookout helps families keep track.

At the appointment, parents are asked…
"When did it start?"
"How often does it happen?"
"Is it worse at a certain time?"
"What was happening beforehand?"
"Has anything changed?"

These can be hard to answer from memory alone. Little Lookout is being built to capture those observations as they happen.

How it works

Turn scattered observations into a clearer story.

1
Choose what you're tracking

A family picks the symptom they want to keep an eye on.

2
Quick check-ins

The child or parent checks in with taps, visuals, text, or voice.

3
See the story over time

Frequency, severity, timing, and context — organized for you.

4
Bring a clearer picture

The tracking period becomes a simple summary for the pediatrician.

Give kids a voice

Kids deserve a voice in their own health.

Children can experience symptoms differently than adults expect. Small things they say can be hard to remember weeks later at the doctor's office.

Little Lookout gives children a simple, age-appropriate way to share what they feel — and helps parents keep those words over time.

Kids don't always have the words. Give them more ways to communicate.

"My head feels weird."
"My stomach hurts at school."
"My eyes hurt when it's bright."
"I'm tired all the time."

Not a diary. An organized view of what's been happening.

Pediatrician-guided tracking

Focused tracking — not endless monitoring.

Instead of asking families to watch their child's health all the time, Little Lookout can be used during focused tracking periods — collecting useful observations before a follow-up appointment.

Not every family needs the same questions. Check-ins focus on the symptom you and your pediatrician are trying to understand — so they stay short and relevant.

Your family, your way

Built around your family's comfort level.

No required daily screen time for kids.
Child + Parent Mode

The child completes a short, age-appropriate check-in. The parent can add extra context.

Parent-Only Mode

For younger children, families limiting screen time, kids who'd rather not use the app, or parents who prefer to manage it themselves. Parents complete guided check-ins based on conversations and what they notice.

Less screen time. More meaningful check-ins.

Little Lookout isn't designed to keep children inside an app. Child check-ins are short and focused.

No addictive streaks. No pressure if a day is missed. No language that makes a child feel they "failed."

Gamification for communication — not screen time. The goal is better communication.

Voice check-ins

Talk naturally. Little Lookout helps organize the details.

Tracking shouldn't feel like another chore. Busy parents can simply say what happened — Little Lookout sorts it into clear, structured notes.

Multilingual

Health shouldn't get lost in translation.

Families describe symptoms differently depending on language, culture, and comfort with medical terms. Our vision is multilingual tracking, so families and kids can use the language they're most comfortable with.

You tell us what happened. We help organize the story.

Who it may help

For families navigating symptoms that don't fit neatly into one doctor's visit.

Observations over time can be especially helpful when families are navigating:

Recurring headachesMigrainesStomach painFatigueSleep concernsChronic symptomsNeurological conditionsADHDAutismOther hard-to-communicate symptoms
Every child communicates differently.

Neurodivergent children in particular may prefer very different ways to share how their body feels. Little Lookout should adapt to the child — not force every child through the same questionnaire.

Doctor-ready summary

From weeks of symptoms to one clearer conversation.

At the end of a tracking period, observations come together in one simple summary families can bring to their appointment.

Designed to support conversations with healthcare professionals. It does not provide a diagnosis.

Why Little Lookout exists

It started with Avreet.

For more than a year, Avreet experienced recurring headaches, dizziness, unusual fatigue, mood changes, and symptoms that seemed unrelated.

Each symptom appeared small. Each appointment focused on a single moment. But together, they were telling a much bigger story.

Eventually, doctors discovered a 7-centimeter brain tumor that had likely been growing for years. That experience changed our family forever.

Little Lookout began with one family's experience, but the problem is much bigger than one family.

That experience inspired a larger question

What if families had a better way to capture the story between appointments?
